BEAUTY.

LIFESTYLE.

ENTERTAINMENT.

Hi, I’m Jaz!

I’ve been creating lifestyle, beauty, and entertainment content in the digital space for 10+ years—my experience has been two-fold: editorial and branded content. Most recently, I was the Senior Content Manager at Jellyfish, a global marketing agency, where I worked on L'Oréal accounts for Hair.com, Makeup.com, Skincare.com, and L’Oréal Paris Beauty Magazine. Prior, I held an almost identical position at Vox Media also working with L'Oréal. These roles revolved around SEO, Google Analytics, and learning to work with AI.

Before making the jump to agency work, I was the Beauty & Style News Editor for both Byrdie and Brides where I established the first-ever newsrooms for these Dotdash Meredith brands. From leading live award show coverage to implementing the social media strategy around news to securing exclusives for product launches—I helped these brands expand beyond evergreen content.

My career began at BET Digital (a division of ViacomCBS) and throughout my seven-year tenure with the company, I was able to shape the style section. As the Lifestyle & Beauty editor, I was a key player in on-site coverage at the BET Awards 2016-2019 and other tentpoles under BET Networks, sometimes acting as a host or stand-in producer in addition to editorial duties. This experience started my work with branded content with companies from Barcardi Limited to Unilever.

My freelance writing has been featured on Essence.com, XONecole.com, and more where I’ve blogged about wellness, travel, and relationship hot topics affecting millennial women like myself. Growing up in the ‘90s and ‘00s, my passion for publishing started with magazines and expanded into the versatile career in media I have today. I regularly draw inspiration from my own experience as a vegan foodie, workout enthusiast, Ariana Grande-obsessed, Latina woman living in New York City.
