BEAUTY.

LIFESTYLE.

ENTERTAINMENT.

Hi, I’m Jaz!

I’ve been creating lifestyle, beauty, and entertainment content in the digital space for 10+ years—my experience has been two-fold: editorial and branded content. Most recently, I was a Senior Content Manager at Jellyfish, where I led copy across several L’Oréal brands—Hair.com, Makeup.com, Skincare.com, and L’Oréal Paris Beauty Magazine. Before that, I held a similar role at Vox Media, also working with L’Oréal. In both positions, I worked on 360° campaigns rooted in SEO, analytics, and emerging AI tools.

Before jumping into agency life, I was the Beauty & Style News Editor at Dotdash Meredith, working across Byrdie and Brides. I helped launch Byrdie’s first-ever newsroom and built on the legacy of Brides by bringing a fresh, timely lens to bridal content. Whether I was leading red carpet coverage, tightening up social strategy, or securing exclusive product launches, I was all about helping these brands move beyond evergreen and into the now.

My career kicked off at BET Digital a division of Paramount Global), where I spent eight years helping shape the style and beauty section. As the Lifestyle & Beauty Editor, I was front and center for major tentpoles like the BET Awards (2016–2019), often juggling roles—sometimes writing, sometimes producing, sometimes even jumping in front of the camera. That time also sparked my love for branded content, working with partners like Bacardi and Unilever to bring culturally relevant stories to life.

Outside of full-time roles, my freelance work has landed on platforms like Essence, XONecole, and USA TODAY, covering everything from wellness and travel to modern love and relationships. I’ve always been inspired by the media I grew up on—magazines from the ‘90s and early ‘00s were my first love—and that energy still fuels me today. Whether writing about beauty or brunch, I pull from my lived experience as a vegan foodie, fitness lover, Ariana Grande-enthusiast, and proud Latina based in NYC.
